Hi, I’m Scott, and I’ve been obsessed with tech for as long as I can remember.
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved gadgets. In the beginning it was radio controlled cars. In my late teens and into my early twenties, I developed a passion for home and car audio gear. Then came cameras. Not so much the art of photography itself, but the gear. I spent thousands (okay, maybe too many thousands) on cameras and lenses.
But the moment that truly changed everything for me was in 2003 when I bought my first iPod. For the first time ever, I could carry my entire music library in my pocket (something I had dreamed about for years). It was a dream come true.

From there, the milestones kept coming:
- 2005: My first BlackBerry. Email and Internet on the go? Game-changing, even if clunky.
- 2008: The iPhone 3GS (this one completely blew my mind). The full Internet in my pocket, not a stripped-down version. That moment opened the door to so much more, including switching from Windows to Mac.
- 2009: My first Mac (an iMac).
- 2011: My first iPad.
- 2015: My first Apple Watch.
I was fortunate enough to work at a major tech company from 2004 to 2018, which only fueled my passion. I had access to cutting-edge smartphones, tablets, and gadgets. Often before they hit the market. That’s where I discovered Android and realized I wasn’t just an Apple fanboy. I loved all great tech.
Why This Site Exists
I’ve always had this urge to document everything. Tech is no exception. Over the years, I’ve owned and tested more gadgets than I can count, and I didn’t want those experiences to just fade away. So in 2025, I created this site as a personal tech diary.
ScottTalksTech is where I:
- Document every phone, camera, watch, tablet, computer, and gadget I’ve owned or tested.
- Share honest insights that help others decide what’s worth buying.
- Celebrate tech history – because these devices don’t just power our lives; they tell a story about how far we’ve come.
For me, this isn’t just about reviews. It’s about nostalgia, discovery, and giving other tech enthusiasts a place to reflect and geek out right along with me.
Welcome to my corner of the Internet.
-Scott
